Tummy troubles
Hey ladies. Wondering if you could help me figure out what to do. The last few evenings I've been feeling really bad. My stomach is all tight and unsettled. Just really uncomfortable.
My Mom was here a bit tonight and she suggested that maybe it's too much wheat/carbs. Any thoughts?

Re: Tummy troubles
My stomach is unsettled at night too. It was with dd too so I just assume it is the pregnancy hormones. It doesn't feel "tight" tho so maybe that's the difference? Try reducing those things and see if it helps I guess. I try to drink extra sips of water when I feel nauseated and sometimes it helps. Who knows.

Re: Tummy troubles
My stomach has been unsettled in the evenings almost since i got my BFP. Not nausea but like you said... tight and unsettled. I've lightened up my dinner considerably that seems to help a lot. Just a proper serving of each meat/carb/veg. I usually have a glass of milk a little later in the evening too. The tightness or bloated feeling really eased off anyway. The unsettled is still there but it's less noticeable with out the tightness.
I compensate for the light dinner by having a heavier lunch... or more snacks... so far it's been a good strategy.

Keeping a food log may be a good idea so you can see what triggers it, if there is something specific. That does sound like the feeling my friend had before she started eating gluten free, but it could be anything.

Re: Tummy troubles
I just feel that way too, not matter how much I eat. Laying on my right side helps...

Re: Tummy troubles
Well, today I avoided almost all wheat (I used about 1 Tbsp to thicken a sauce for supper) and I feel so much better! So, I think I'll be laying off the wheat, or at least severely cutting back for now.
