Re: Mama Pads. Why is it hard to get the first order placed?....
Wanamingomommy made me some really nice winged mama pads. THey were soft, thin, had a waterproof layer & snaps. I am getting more from her soon!

Carrie at www.motherandmaiden.com makes nice pads that are all in one pads if you want a few of those. Also, Danielle's Fancy pads are all in one pads as well. I really like the fit. You can pm her, she is momof1. Her website is not up yet.

I got some super affordable ones on ebay. I love them they are not MM fleece for backing but regualr fleece. Post partum overnight these did not leak!! i will buy more if i need them someday, but now I have quite a stash LOL
I also have bbl, happy heinys( soooo not impressed, never even used it) emibeans. ( very nice, all flannel) MOE ( again not impressed as far as comfort goes, but they work) I know i have others, i just caznt think of which ones they are..

Re: Mama Pads. Why is it hard to get the first order placed?....
Oh now here is something I know all about..my stash consists of probably 65+ pads..seriously I LOVE trying new ones and think you can just never have too much cloth lol
i have some I swapped here, and they are SO pretty but BIG for me..they don't leak though, so I'm okay with that. They're flannel with a lfeece backing with wings. What I REALLY like about these is that the overnight ones have a double closure, so it feels more secure. I have GladRags, which I don't prefer, I have some from BTL which are tri-fold with wings (LOVE thse!! They are the first I ever bought) I have a TON i have made myself from wings to no wings, pul backed, flecce backed and some that I ust made that are a super absorbent flannel topped with quick ry stuff that is the MOST amazing wicking fabric I have ever found! I also made a couple wool backed sherpa pads whihc are AWESOME but I made those without sings to be quick as a tester for me, and I prefer wings. And my runner-up faves are some GORGEOUS ones made by a mama on here for the hamdmade swap. Velour anf a beautiful dyed flannl and SO comfy...no wings but they are contoured and stay in place really well. You just gotta do a lot of trial and error to see what works for you. And I find that depeding on my mood each month, I don't alwyasw reach for the same ones. Depends on my mood lol Once you make the switch, though, you'll never go back. I ADORE my cloth pads, they are super-comfy and so much better for your body and the enviroment. LOVE THEM!!!! |

Re: Mama Pads. Why is it hard to get the first order placed?....
Thanks to everyone! Two final questions. About Amazapads, they are or not AIO? I'm thinking I want AIO.
And has anyone used Homemade Mama pads?

Re: Mama Pads. Why is it hard to get the first order placed?....
I'm a third vote for Ama'z Padz, I love them, I ordered 2 regular sets and one set of panty liners before I got my pp AF and am finding now that I want/need more so am going to get added to her wait list.
She was awesome to work with too as the other mamas said, when I ordered it was my order, my mom's (same as mine) and my sisters order all together as customs and she got them done and to our door within 2 weeks heidi

I'll switch to cloth when AF rears her ugly head again, so this post has been awesome. I had no idea there were so many choices for mama pads!

Re: Mama Pads. Why is it hard to get the first order placed?....
I was just going to make the switch and then I got preggo again. Oh well. But now I am looking for some great pads for pp. I don't want to have to get ones only for pp, but I did need them for like 6 weeks so maybe it would be worth it? I was looking on HyenaCart, any thoughts on Happymamaoriginals
http://hyenacart.com/HappyMamaOriginals/ or Homemademama http://hyenacart.com/HomemadeMama/ Anyone tried these? I just like the contoured better than the retangle so no Amaz's. |
