A friend of our family passed away last night. She had an undiagnosed heart condition and was undergoing testing since January. The specialists knew something was wrong, but couldn't diagnose her. She put her 4 year old son to bed last night and died sometime between 9 and 11. Her husband came home from work and found her. Her husband isn't sure what to tell him regarding his mom. He already asked if she wasn't breathing anymore. My heart is broken for their son.

Thanks everyone for the prayers; it really means a lot! We are getting together with friends tonight and will have her son with us. I don't think at 4 he understands what her death means. He told my friend's son, "did you know my mommy died last night" and then in the next breath, he asked him to play ball. The whole situation is so sad. It reminds me to spend more time with the people I love. The hardest thing is that she was a sahm and his dad travelled for months at a time for work. That is going to be tricky figuring out what to do.

Our good friend and neighbor passed away 2 1/2 years ago leaving 4 children. I went over their house because they needed a garbage bag and their 5yo daughter was sitting at the table with a photo of her dad, she looked up at me and said that her dad "died".

I almost fell out in the floor crying. Then at the funeral my husband was carrying her around and she told him that her Daddy was cold. She had touched his body. It was the saddest thing I have ever seen. The family is blessed to have support.

Oh My goodness. That is heartbreaking. I just sent up a prayer for that dad and his little boy. May God carry them through this.
