wrap/sling/structured?
I only can afford something cheap, but I want something to wear outside of the house. I bought a used inexpensive Snuggli that is a huge Ergo look alike but I really need something to use outside.
I have a Moby but its complicated to put on and off and DS2 only likes it of he's asleep. Plus its black and really hot. He's 4 months old, and 17lbs, he's huge. I'm fairly petite, 5'1. I want a sling but I just really don't know what will work.

Forgive me, but I'm confused. Why can't you use the snuggli outdoors?

Re: wrap/sling/structured?
Ok, do you want a soft structured like the Ergo or are you open to other carrier types? It sounds like a Mei tai would work well for you too.
What is your budget? Can you sell the Moby and put that $ towards your new carrier ( you should be able to get $25-$30 for it) |

Re: wrap/sling/structured?
Depending on your budget, would one of these work? (I haven't used any of them but they all look like they would be at least okay.)

I've looked at the Infantino's. I bought the one like the Ergo but I'm super short and DS couldn't figure out to turn his head cause his face just went right into the buckle which of course he hated.

DS2 is 17lbs and the ring slings have been great. We just got back from Kauai and I used a rented Ergo and my SBP ring sling. The ring sling worked best for shorter time frames, in a hip carry. I think he likes it better than the Ergo because he could look around. The Ergo was better on my back for longer walks and when he was sleepy. He did sleep in the SBP (and the TM water sling) just fine but it was more comfortable on my back when he slept in the Ergo.
