Ring sling or Beco. Love my Ergo for once they are bigger, but I make tiny babies so ring sling is great for us for a LONG time.

It's sounding like a ring sling should be on my list when we have #2! The Moby was just way of much material for me (I'm 5'2" and a size 2/4 so pretty petite).

Yep, ring sling, hands down! I agree with making sure it's one without a ton of extra fabric.

I have a 10 day old now. I have a ribg sling, moby, sleepy wrap, beco Gemini, beco butterfly, short woven and, um, I think that's it. Lol. So far we've only had luck with a ring sling. She screams in the other carriers.

Oh, and we can bf in the ring sling!

Re: Name Your Favorite NB Carrier

I have a Beco Butterfly II that my almost 8 week old did not care for. Perhaps it was just user error, and I'll try again at some point. I recently purchased a Moby wrap, that I find incredibly comfortable, but with the amount of fabric, takes longer to put on than I'd like. I just ordered a Baby Hawk Mei Tai, because I had one when my second was a baby, and really liked it for the newborn stage. Hopefully, my baby girl will like it, because it's pricey to keep purchasing carriers just to find the right one. I plan on keeping all of these carriers, because I think each of them will work great at some point.

Maya Wrap! I mostly have winter babies and this is great for being at home and out and about. Still keeps them warm, head upright, close to me, and easier to BF in public without crazy stares!

For newborn I loved my ringsling and pouches.

Once they gain head control a little better I'm an MT and SSC girl for the most part.

Never really got into the wrap thing, have a couple and have tried a few but I just can't seem to get a good fit. I'm hoping to get a moby wrap to use this time, and attempt to fall in love again.

Re: Name Your Favorite NB Carrier

i had a parent's innovation, which was similar to a Moby. the reason i like it for my newborn was that it had spandex in it, so it was stretchy, and it had a ring on it so it was super easy to tighten and get him very snuggled in. they don't make them any longer, so you would need to really search for it!
