Re: Non-circ'ing mamas - question
Never any problems beyond minor diaper rash for either of my children. My oldest is three and a half years old and still wears diapers around the clock.

Re: Non-circ'ing mamas - question
No sons here but DH is 30 and has never had any issues, and neither have Any of his 3 brothers that I know of. My nephew who was born 2 weeks ago was left intact so apparently BIL is happy enough to be intact

DS is 16 months, not one single problem. My brother is almost 19 and has never had an issue. With older boys I think it just boils down to teaching proper hygiene. |

My husband has two brothers who were not circ'd after he was. They had problems, but I wonder if it was more from the lack of good hygiene practices taught to them by their parents. They are kinda..... Neglectful parents.

Re: Non-circ'ing mamas - question
I have an almost 5 year old and a 2 1/2 year old who are both intact. Never had any problems. You don't have to retract and you don't have to clean inside anything. They will be old enough to wash inside themselves in the shower by the time it's completely retractable (which usually happens around the time that puberty hits). When changing a diaper you just wipe off the outside like a finger. Everything will be attached inside, provided nobody forces them to retract so nothing will get inside. Very, very easy to care for and we've never had an issue.
ETA: I think a lot of issues with intact boys/men occur because of forced retraction when they were too young. I hear a lot of horror stories about grown men having problems, but in most of the cases I've heard about, they were retracted as babies (which was common practice back then).

Re: Non-circ'ing mamas - question
I have two boys, ages 2 and 5, and neither have ever had any issues. There has been no extra care required at all, no wound to care for, no adhesions, no worrying if they took too much or too little skin, etc. I am truly so very thankful we made the decision to leave them as they were created, and that feeling is reinforced on a regular basis, with all that I continue to read on the subject
