Seeking all Cloth mamas opinions..

My cousin is pg & has decided she wants to CD her 1yo & the new baby. Her husband watches the kids during the week while she is @ work. He is not hip on the CD idea, but said he would give it a try.

The question is what diapers would you recommend? He will not rinse or shake off or dunk. She was thinking of prefolds, but I'm not sure that would work for him. She doesn't want to do pockets or AI1's.. Not sure why not AI1's since they are like a sposie. What about g-diapers or flip? Would that be better? Something cheap & easy.. What do you say ladies??

if he wasn't keen on cloth diapering my first thought would be aplix aios but since she doesn't want that then I'd say go flats or prefolds padfolded into flips

or padfold them into GroVia shells, they are buy 3 get 1 free right now, and my husband really liked their hook and loop.

Flip. Easy, cheap. Lay in whatever works best and snap/Aplix. You can't mess it up.

Agree with PP's, flips and tri folded prefolds or pad folded flats.

Just an fyi, my dh does a lot better w/ the hook and loop than the snaps. Sometimes I'm amazed at how tight he does the snaps (tighter than I would do) but I don't dare say a word or else it's entirely my job again.

Re: Seeking all Cloth mamas opinions..

hook and loop is easier, but you have to make sure to close the tabs onto the laundry tabs before you throw it in the diaper pail or laundry basket or whatever, otherwise it will wear out fast and get stuck to everything in the laundry. i think hook and loop is cuter too.

yeah, trifolded prefolds, padfolded flats, contours, or inserts in flips is so easy and cute. launders better than all in ones and pockets too. that's what i would go with. i have a bunch of contours/fitteds that lay in flips really well (link in signature) if you wanna take a look, they're for sale, nb, smalls, meds, and larges - all you'd ever need birth through potty learning.

Re: Seeking all Cloth mamas opinions..

i purposely got flips with the stay dry inserts (hook and loop only) for my husband to be willing to use. after 2 months of that, then this past week using disposables since ds has a bad rash, dh said he misses the cloth! he doesn't do ANY of the laundry or rinsing, just sets them in the bathroom for me to do when i can. works great for us!
