Favorite Etsy mei tai?

My best friend is expecting a baby in December, and really wants to babywear this time around. I was thinking about getting her a mei tai, as it can be used from birth and doesn't have much of a learning curve. I can't afford to get her a Babyhawk or Freehand (my personal faves ), so I was thinking about going with one from Etsy. Has anyone tried carriers from these WAHMs:

Or would it be better just to look for a good deal on FSOT? Thanks!

I haven't tried any carriers from etsy. I did look into rs there (and eBay) and I just googled the name of it. However, I wasn't able to find a good one while I was searching I did come across a review for a mt and it wasn't good. It didn't use strong enough material and the straps were in the carrier far enough to really hold weight. So my recommendation is to proceed with caution & make sure you find find something on the person who is making it.

If you were going to I would ask lots of questions about how it is constructed what type of thread was used. What type of stiching used to secure the straps bartacking/Xbox. What type of material used/ how many layers of material.
If in doubt I would hit FSOT. I think I saw a freehand Teresa on there for $40

Re: Favorite Etsy mei tai?

Thanks everyone! I've never bought a carrier from Etsy in my 3+ years of babywearing, and I'm paranoid .

I them, but they're definitely out of my budget. This is a baby gift for my friend, and I can't really spend more than $40.
