GMD workhorse question

Ok, pregnancy brain is really kicking in here, so forgive me if this is a silly question...but I don't want to buy a bunch of these if they wont work for us. Does anyone know how wide the flaps are on the newborn workhorse diaper? Are they just the same width as the regular orange edge prefold, or extended? I know GMD shows pics of the diapers fitting nicely around diff. sizes of babies, but after seeing that the red workhorse diaper is basically the same size as the prefold, it got me to wondering about the newborn size. If the tabs are only 11ish inches across, I just don't see that fitting as nicely around a newborn (maybe it's just been too long since I had a newborn). I would really appreciate it if someone could measure along the back edge of the orange edge workhorse for me. Thanks so much...

I can measure in a bit, but I put one on my 7wk old the other day. He's 13.8 lbs 23 1/4in if that helps.
