She's used to getting all the handspuns except for socks. She loves socks, but she gets super sweaty feet, so she just snuggles her socks and mine. But apparently it was evil and blasphemous of me to use handspun for a me-sweater

Had a nice long walk with the kids tonight, Pixie walked almost 3/4 of a mile holding my hand till we got to the bank. She's getting so big I can't even believe it.

I have 8 oz of BFL ready to list on my store, I'll get a pic of it tomorrow, very soft and floofy.
Last year my migraines got progressively worse, so I cut out caffeine. I prayed that it was not a gluten reaction, because I would freak out if I couldn't have anything. Luckily, I don't react to decaf and I haven't had a migraine since.

I totally feel for you.

Kids. Every day it's something new that I can say, " I can't believe you just freaked out about _____".

Oh man... As mom is having surgery today to remove a cyst. She's in a ton of pain. They've asked me to feed A dinner the rest of the week which is fine, but I just went to the store yesterday and I still hadn't planned what were doing. Time for brain storms...

I have been looking into that for my 16yo, is he too old for something like that? Is it costly? I saw some of the kits were almost $300 or can they use smaller kits? We were gifted an entire box of legos this summer so wondering if he can also use those.

Good morning ladies.
Drive by post, I didn't get to bed till 2am and ds just fell back to sleep.

He is too old for our section. They can't be older than 14. But there might be older sections I just didn't pay attention. He cannot use just any Legos. It is a team deal and he has to use a special kit. Expensive is relative, our school is maintaining most of the cost but it would be expensive if you were trying to do it on your own. I think for the 2 teams we are at about $1000 each and we don't even have everything yet and we have to pay more to attend the competitions but there have been no decisions on which or how many we will attend.

Enrollment for the US is closed already for this year. They only make a specific number of kits to be available and they said they always run out before the actual deadline which is the end of this month. They ran out last Friday. I can't speak of how fun or anything it is or if he could do something similar on his own. I just don't know. He could search the Internet to see what's available that is similar but this specific Lego sponsored league is team only and closed. Unless he found a team like today or tomorrow that still had room but they can't have more than 10 kids anyway so that might be hard. I just don't know. We heard about it a little late and so we are about a month behind most people who started when school started. Even then Alaska starts school several weeks to a month after most areas and we get out a month early. We take a more than 3 month break where most areas take more breaks in the year and a shorter summer break.
