Can I Use my washer as a wet pail?
Im new to cd, and I was wondering if it's feasible to throw soiled diapers directly in my front loading machine instead of a pail. I was thinking I could add some water each time I thrw a soiled diaper in, and have it spin a few times, store them in the closed machine, and then run a wash cycle every couple days....

i guess you could do that if you dont plan on doing reg laundry in between
i just rinse all my diapers and toss them into a garbage pail i got at wal mart

I wouldn't because I would only be able to think of all the bacteria in your washing machine. You would have to run a empty cycle with lots of bleach to clean out the inside of the drum.

Re: Can I Use my washer as a wet pail?
That's a good point, i guess i wouldnt want to treat my washer as a cheap garbage pail....
Doesn't the Walmart garbage pail get stinky? I hate cleaning such things out... Maybe I should cave in and get a wet bag... |

Re: Can I Use my washer as a wet pail?
I thought this was a good idea too, i'd throw them in there. then i noticed my washer was always stinky and once i started using a pail the stink was gone. i just have a trashcan with lid from wm and a thirsties pail liner. good luck!!

I'd just suck it up and buy a couple hanging wetbags (probably XL). That way you throw the wetbag and diapers in the wash on wash day and everything comes out clean. Seems to be the easiest solution if you don't want to mess with a pail. We use snuggy baby wetbags and never have any smells.
