Re: exercise, anyone?

I'm walking 45-60 mins 5 days a week with a preggo friend here. We're trying to keep each other motivated. Then we get back home and snack. So I don't know how effective it is but it makes us feel healthier

That is motivation! I was running well into my 1st pregnancy, but was running before this one, so I decided not even to try. Not that I've had the energy. I managed to get another video workout in yesterday, and am planning for a walk and some yoga later. Just waiting for DS's clothes to dry so we can leave the house. He has nothing clean. I am way behind on my chores.

I've started walking at work during my lunch break, between patients, or when a patient doesn't show. I walk about 1-2 miles a day 5 days a week. My weight gain has stabilized and I feel so much better now that I'm active!

Re: exercise, anyone?

changing to the elliptical tomorrow. have been running the past 3 weeks and am very proud of that! i wish i could keep running but breathing has gotten harder and it's taking me too long to regulate my breath after. also i feel pressure down low at the end of my run and my lower back starts to hurt as well.

Re: exercise, anyone?

I did a step aerobics class on Monday & totally overdid it. Sigh. At least I got out there. I think I'll try a little lower-key class (somehow I managed to get into the advanced class) later this week and also stick to the elliptical. I was planning on going today, but ended up spending the entire day at a farm picking produce. I guess at least I got a little exercise doing that.
