So my LMP was 6/26/2012. I got a pos test on 7/22/12 faint, but positive.I took several test after this. I made an apt with my OB and they set me up with a dating scan on 8/8/12 I should have been 6 weeks. I went in and all I had was a sac measuring 4W 5D, my heart sank. They set me up for a follow up can in 4 weeks. I went in and there was a beautiful baby with a strong HB measuring 9W 2D (should have been 10W 1D according to LMP). They kept my due date the same 4/12 based on the scan, but according to LMP it should be 4/2. I know that's not a huge difference in time. I guess my main question is how did I get a BFP so early if according to the US I ovulated late based on babys size. Everything is going great, no issues. The date thing just has me confused!

Wow, that is confusing. LOL I'd chalk it up to this mysterious world.
Don't worry about it, just enjoy your growing babe.

Same thing happened to me. And this guy has measured accurately with his scan scan for the rest of pregnancy. So thats what you should go with. I got a positive at 6dpo with my last baby

I wouldnt worry about it. There is a lot they don't really know about early pregnancy

However, don't be surprised if you go into labor a little earlier than your "due date"

Wow, congrats. I'd guess that you just ovulated really late, and got an early BFP since everything seems to be on track. If baby had been developing slowly on the second scan, I'd be worried, but it sounds like everything is great! I'd go with their DD personally.

Yes, very confusing!! I was just thinking about it the other day, and was really confused by it! I was so afraid I wouldn't see anything on my 2nd ultrasound! Just wondering if anyone else had a similar situation. I was also still nuring YDS at the time, so maybe that had something to do with it!

Yep this! Same thing happened to me, our midwife said to be ready at 37 weeks "just in case" she comes early.
