Just got done working with Duncan and Chaz for the show. We took some pics and video of them for the trainer. http://www.danielsonquarterhorses.com/2011_FOALS.html These pictures are super old, but you can see my "neighbors" on this website.

Morning mamas. Ian had a rough night in our bed, so dh got up with him early and i woke up at 830 to kids fed, brushing teeth, and getting dressed. We have the day off for yom kippur today, and since 2 out of 3 are snuffly will stay home all day. I told them they could wear whatever they want, and rosie is wearing a cosby sweater, ginger a fancy dress, and ian a Texans hoodie that is two sizes too big.

Jess your kids sound like about the same sizes as mine. Lydia is heavier, but anyone is heavier than ian, lol. So ian is 42" tall and 34 lbs, so really a 2/3t in waist but 4/5t in length. Ginger is 48" tall and 58 lbs, wears a 7/8 but sometimes pants have to be hemmed. Rosie is almost 50" tall and 53 pounds, also wears a 7/8 and has to pull the adjusted waist all the way and sometimes it is too short.

I really need to do a lot of laundry today. Boo.

Re: Basic Woolie Wednesday

Silly days off annoy me.

Next week on Wednesday is a public holiday (the day the wall came down) and it's a bugger because the local schools/kindergarten have decided to take 2 "bruckentagen" which means they want to close so they can even though there is no real reason for it.

Hort is open (and now charging me an extra 5€ for swimming on one of the days) on those days, Kindergarten and Derry's school is closed. And because it's a Wednesday it means I'll have to work on the Thursday...and then on the Friday. So the two days when 3 of my kids are home all day I have to work.

Such a PITA!

Re: Basic Woolie Wednesday

I tried to call and cancel a dermatologist appointment tomorrow, and I forgot all my doctors are Jewish and won't be in today. It's kinda funny, when we first moved here DH got all our doc recs from a coworker who is orthodox Jewish, so every one of our doctors, while fabulous, are VERY Jewish and are surprised to have us as clientele. And I have never actually met the coworker, so it's even weirder to explain to them I've been referred to someone I've never met.

I forgot you could make spaghetti sauce in the cockpot. So guess what I am doing today? I just did a quick re-org of my freezer and I have something like 14 pounds of italian sausage in there. And I have several coupons that expire at the end of the year that get me free breakfast sausage if I buy italian sausage. So I guess I better start looking for more sausage recipes, LOL. Although the kids would be content to eat spaghetti with sausage every day.

Cheryl I use sausage a lot. Some of my favorite things are:

And then homemade pizza, and I have heard of people mixing it with regular burger for sloppy joes...

Scratch that for burgers not sloppy joes, although that would work too for a pizza type sloppy joe

We don't eat much Italian sausage because I dont like it. I HATE fennel and it is hard to get it without fennel since that is what makes it Italian
