What kind of garlic might this be?

I have a favorite garlic from the grocery store, it has a really nice smooth taste, no sharp bite, is a small bulb with medium to small cloves and comes prepacked in threes not in bulk. The outer paper is white and the inner paper is rose colored and thick. There's no stem in the middle and the cloves are all pretty much the same size all the way through. I love it but I have no idea what variety or even if it's hard or soft neck because I know nothing about garlic. I'd just plant some but I read that they are sprayed with a sprouting inhibitor like potatoes. Any ideas?

Re: What kind of garlic might this be?

It doesn't say on the package, it comes from a garlic and ginger farm in LA near me. I emailed them, they have a lot of info on garlic on their website that's very informative but all they say is that they plant early and late garlic and I'm guessing what I'm enjoying is some kind of "late" garlic. I hope they'll tell me a correct variety name and not that it's just hardneck or soft or something like that. I'll keep y'all posted and if it sounds familiar to anyone please do take a guess!

Clove size will vary from clove to clove.

I planted store bught and it's just rockin out there!
I think mine was organic? Either way, it's doing great. I have seen online where people planted treated garlic and still got production. It was small cloves, but still yummy. I have also planted treated potatoes many times and got very good results.

Also, here are some red soft necks, there are tons! See if you see yours?

Re: What kind of garlic might this be?

Thanks Sarah. Really it could be anything, there's just so many varieties. It looks most like this one by description and location. The last bag I bought yesterday was a different variety when I opened it so I can't plant them.

I saw that one, but the pic was different. It was more silver so I passed it over looking for a more rose color, lol. How come you can't plant now? I didn't catch on, lol.

Re: What kind of garlic might this be?

Well I could, but it looks like a different type of garlic all together in the new package I bought. So I wouldn't be getting the type I wanted.

Oh, I see. It's not the kind with the blushing pink inner. Bummer!
