Pest problems

We live in a converted apartment building-now they're "condos". But due to all the rain here lately and some horribly Long construction and he fact that this place is built so shoddily-we have a bug problem. Roaches to be specific. Mostly those little ones that annoy the crap out of you. And we've tried everything to get rid of them. We've done boric acid, catnip, different natural things...but because we can't do the whole building it just doesn't work. So I'm trying to find the safest and greenest way to get rid of them. I hate using chemicals-especially around the kids (3.5, 1.5 and a newborn)-but I have to do something. Any suggestions?

Re: Pest problems

I found an exterminator that uses "natural" products such as essential oils that are poisonous to bugs. I still left the house and made sure the kids and dogs stayed away from the wall bases that were sprayed for several days. Anyway, you can look for someone like that in your area, but if the other units aren't doing anything about it, you'll need to have the place sprayed regularly
