Paypal does not cover disputes on customs if I recall.

This makes me less inclined to buy from WAHMs. I received a ring sling I could have made better myself but didn't have a sewing machine at the time. Now I do I plan on ripping it apart and redoing it. For the time and money spent on custom fitteds I would want some recourse if it wasn't descent quality work. And yeah since I can sew Pretty well(I sewed my own wedding dress as well as that of the flower girl) I am picky about what I consider good work.

I recently had an issue with a WAHM purchase that was custom. There were sewing errors. I contacted and she agreed to redo the stitching. I personally would let her try to correct the error. However, I do understand your pain with the need it now thing. The items I ordered I planned to use them but the order took longer than expected and the correction extended it that it ended up that I did not have the finished product until 2 months after the order was paid (promised in 14 days). I chalked it up lesson learned and I wont order there again. The corrections were made correctly and the problem resolved. Only down side was I no longer needed the product any longer because my oldest pled faster than what i thought.

In your shoes I would be asking for your money back. Like you I wouldn't trust her to redo them correctly. For my wedding we hired someone to make the bridesmaids dresses. I didn't have the time to make 5 dresses on top if my dress and the flower virls dress. They were coming unsewed before the wedding was even started. I not only didn't have the "seamstress" fix them, 14 years later I make sure to tell people not to use her. Oh yeah 14 years later my dresses are still in great shape.
