Toddler sized prefolds???

So my 8 month old is making the yellow imagine prefolds look like a joke on him already lol. I see the larges aren't that much bigger in size. Imagine doesn't have a toddler size but GMD does..... So since I already have such a big boy growing too fast think I can get away with the toddler size folding down??

The Blues/larges are IMO much bigger then yellows and toddlers are HUGE in comparison. I live right near Nickis so if you want me to get & send 1 of each to you to pm me. I think the blues would work fine. I'll bump the comparison thread on prefolds with lots of pics in case you have not seen that it helps. Wide baby from GMD may be something to consider

Re: Toddler sized prefolds???

Imagines, does have a toddler size, it is just in their regular prefolds section, not the smart fit section and they are similar to the larger GMDs and cheaper.

Re: Toddler sized prefolds???

Before GMD came out with the wide baby diapers we went with GMD green edge(toddler). We did have to fold down quite a bit but not as much as you might think. Our youngest hit 20lbs between 4-5 months so was quite wide. It worked well for us with good resale value. He is currently 15 months and 25 lbs and down to the GMD brown edge(large). I can squeeze my son into the red edge(med/I yellow). If you can squeeze him into the GMD red or imagine yellow I think the GMD brown or imagine blues should fit well for some time to come. That extra inch makes more of a difference than you think on the width. Your lo should be slowing down dramatically in growth now. Most though not all do.

The Toddler prefolds are HUGE and not useful as diapers IMO. Seriously, they look like blankets. DD is 90th percentile and never fit the Toddler size even after PLing age. The dimensions are really the problem - they're ridiculously long but not much wider than Infant/Premiums. If you can't fasten a regular PF around the waist, the Toddler PF isn't going to help.
