Best detergent for sensitive skin

So my ds is potty trained, and only wears diapers @ night. But he has accidents in his pants a couple times/day still. We were using Tide all along, then switched to Purex F&C a couple months ago. Noticed the night diapers are smelling, so went back to Tide Original last week. Now, when he pees in his undies or diapers, his whole bottom area (and his man bits) get bright red and he screams. So, I bought more Purex, and no more redness...but I don't think the Purex cleans as well (stinkies ), so what is good for sensitive skin, and gets things CLEAN. I have city water, not too hard, not too soft.

I'm using Targets up&up biodegradable pristine clean with my ultra sensitive DD. I'm finding it cleans just about as well as tide but without the rash .

I always used arm and hammer free on all our clothes and diapers before I started making my own.

DS has really super sensitive skin - the best detergent we have found for our CD's is actually Dreft.

Ruby Moon makes an unscented version. I've been using a scented one for 3 months now without any sign of redness whatsoever.

It's hard to predict what he's sensitive to.

It could be enzymes, fragrance, petroleum based cleaners, brightener...

One of the few that has none of those but still cleans well is Country Save. I didn't want to use it because it seemed tool granola crunchy for me, lol, but I've tried a dozen detergents and it's the one that cleans best. I never have stains. When I get Tide washed diapers off FSOT, Country Save takes the stains out, then I find hidden build up and stink after I wash, and have to do a few more CS washes, and then they are clean.

You could also try using more Purex.

Re: Best detergent for sensitive skin

My daughter has super sensitive skin too and couldn't even handle Rockin Green! So we switched to All Free & Clear (which is what I use on all our clothes anyway...). She's great with it... not a rash since.
