Re: Basically it's the weekend!

I fianally found Fynn's longies!

Someone put them in a drawer. I have no idea who did that but I know it wasn't me.

I found several longies for Walker, if you want them Kari?

Re: Basically it's the weekend!

My BIL called me today to tell me that one of my sisters is going to be in the area the first week of November....and that my father is going to hospital tomorrow to have something (a growth) removed from his throat. It's not his tonsils, he had them removed 20 years ago. They did a biopsy but they haven't hear the results of it yet. Which seems odd to me...why get surgery before the biopsy results are in? They think it might be cancerous....More likely to my mind is they have the results but my father doesn't want to tell anyone what they are.

I'm more than a bit pissed that it ended up being my BIL calling to tell me. Not my father or my sister.

Re: Basically it's the weekend!

Morning all. I love fresh sheets. And I also have to keep the house reasonably tidy all the time, or stuff gets lost or ruined. That is what Rosie hasn't figured out yet. I finally have a house that has a place for everything, and is easy to maintain, and I'm not about to let it go to cockpot. I think it is part of teaching the kids life skills. I hear too many stories of grown women (and men) who said they were never taught how to keep house, which is why their homes look like they do.

I have heard of surgery before biopsy. Usually it means there is something significantly large enough that is not supposed to be there, and it's better to take it out now regardless of what it is. Especially since some tests take weeks. The cancer status just means more thorough followup checks to make sure they got it all.

Re: Basically it's the weekend!

I did my meal plan for October last night. I need to use up a lot of the stuff in the freezer, and we need to tighten our financial belts a bit to overcome the ineviditable september costs that dump on us.

DH really pissed me off this morning. Ian woke up super early with the hack cough, and kept saying he was hungry. I kept telling him wait 45 minutes, and everyone will be up and eating breakfast, and I didn't want to feed him until his meds for the cough kicked in. DH got up with him because he wouldn't shut up. But instead of feeding him, he gave him ibuprofen. On an empty stomach full of mucous, to a kid with reflux. So of course after I come down, Ian pukes it up. So as a result we all did not go to church, because as soon as I did it would turn out to be some sort of puke virus. But it's not, he's fine.

I've picked up the house. Just need to sweep/vac/mop/wipe things down. We have a new babysitter coming tonight so we can go to an adults-only potluck social. I am making Jess' crescent au jus pinwheels sans the au jus.

Some wont fit for a while but they are nice so I'll send them to you. I dont know anyone here who CDs. It'd be a shame for them to just sit here used.

The purple longies are from Muggem's Nugglies
The green longies are sweater longies (from FSOT I think)
The tie-dye top is from Bekah. Loved that!
The skull longies (and top which is just a black LS top I've put with it...it came with a painted t-shirt that never fit Fynn. Not even as a newborn) Sweetie bird fashions
The robot longies are Ahmay longies and have a shortie inside the longies with a matching robot top. That's a 2T acording to the label inside the top but I think it's smaller.

I think that's all I have that survived Fynn. I do have a couple more but they have holes in them and aren't worth sending.

Re: Basically it's the weekend!

OK back from Safeway and the $ Store. The spaghetti sauce now has meat in it as does the freezer, somehow I was out of ground beef.

Jerry is getting started on the house painting.

Laundry rolling. Have one load of towels left. Thinking about switching to flannel sheets soon. May wait one more week. We need to get MH some flannel sheets
