What to set color on dyed flats?
I bought some dyed flats and they made a mess of of a load of my clothes when I tried to prep. Then I thought should be good. And only 1 crimson flat was in my large load of mother ease dopes on a Eco warm cycle annd all went pink. My clothes load is all a dingy look as all the flats were in that load including the kids newer tye dyed shirts that do not look new now, hard to wear those out and about now. Those shirts never leaked. But wow these wham mama flats are terrible.
Could cry, can't afford ruined laundry. Thanks

Oh no.
What are they dyed with? Could you try drying them on hot a bunch of times.

Do you know what kind of dye was used?
DO not dry the load that went pink. Rewash with a color catcher sheet and most of it will likely come out.

I think dylon suppose to be a good one. I would have to double check. To late I had to dry those loads I think slowly it is coming out.

Re: What to set color on dyed flats?
You could try soaking it overnight in ph+, that's the fixer that is used for plant fiber dyeing.
I always use procion dyes when dyeing, and have never had them bleed. Dylon and Rit are just hit and miss, and really give home dyed textiles a bad name, IMO.
