Re: Strangest period I've ever had...some TMI

I had my HEAVIEST period ever at the start of my pregnancy with #7. He implanted right on the border with the tube and the placenta needed to migrate away from there into safer territory causing a subchorionic hematoma and ongoing bleeding issues until week 16. As scary as it was he was quite firmly implanted, just readjusting himself. Congrats!

thanks...I really hope it's something like that! I'm spotting again today so it's hard to be optimistic, but I'm trying. Blood draw this morning and again Wednesday

Congrats!!! I'd be scared to death with bleeding like that too, but I know of lots of mamas that had bleeding / a full period and had normal, healthy pregnancies, so hoping that is the case for you too!

Have you taken any more tests? If you did, how are the lines - darker? FX!

Ha! You doubted my suggestion! Congrats! LOL! (I'm a nurse practitioner, BTW, and women between 10-50 with vaginal bleeding are pregnant until proven otherwise.). Bleeding in the 1st trimester is more common than many people realize. It could mean many things, or more likely, it could mean nothing! Get in to see an OB or a midwife ASAP. They can draw a serum HCG and another two days later and then compare the two numbers. Good luck!

Oops! Just saw that you've already had the blood draw. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

I think that's a very good sign. I know they are supposed to only be qualitative (because your urine could be more or less dilute), but I think that they are somewhat quantitative. My husband didn't believe my first two pregnancy tests (FMU) because they were a little light (and we'd had sooo many negatives), but by that evening the test was much darker and he finally believed it was true! I have a feeling your pregnancy is going to stick and be just fine!

BTW, I had a lousy day, but reading your post made my evening! Congratulations again!
