Can you help me choose a ring sling?

I think I've decided to try a ring sling this time around, but there are so many choices out there! I'm almost 5'5" and small framed and normally weigh between 110-120. Should I get a Maya ring sling for the padded shoulder, an etsy sling, or would you recommend a sling from SBP? And if you recommend SBP what type of fabric..Lenin, twill, light weight denim, silk? I'm really clueless and would appreciate any help.

I have a wrap conversion sling from SBP. I love it. DH uses it sometimes, too!

I would stay away from the maya wraps unless you know how to redo the shoulder, mine was super uncomfortable until I redid it into a gathered shoulder. I have heard a TON of great things about an Eesti shoulder though. SPB will make you one!

We got ours from Etsy from Babyette. It's linen. Super sturdy. She was great to work with, answered all our questions (and has lots of great info and YouTube videos) and had LOTS of fabrics and prints to choose from. Plus I like to be able to support other mamas and independent businesses when possible. We've been using ours for about 5 months so far with no problems.

Which shoulder style would be best for a small framed mom?

i've had several different ring slings, my favorite by far is my girasol WCRS. Its strong but still soft. I didn't really like a linen RS. I prefer the regular SBP shoulder to the eesti shoulder. I've never read that frame size makes a difference in style of shoulders...just the length makes a difference

Mabelino!! Hi! That would really be my first choice but so expensive. Maybe I will find one on fsot!

I have a sbp and love it. My sil tried it and also got one because she liked mine so much they are excellent quality! I have a cotton/hemp & my sil has a linen. I'm getting another one and trying to figure out what I want!

The padded shoulder Maya Wrap has a different shoulder style than the original. But I totally agree with you in that the original shoulder is quite disagreeable and persnickety.
