Glad the surgery went well. Saw your FB post. Hope he can eat some popsicles and other yummy frozen goodies.

That must be frustrating for him. FX its done and they didn't grill him this whole time.

As y'all know...DD is having a small Tangled party. I don't have any decorating supplies, nor the necessary skills to do a cake myself. I also can't afford a true bakery/cake lady.

Walmart was the only place (looked everywhere) with a Tangled cake available... Sortof. I had to ask them to order the kit, which would take 2 weeks to arrive. They would not "hold" it for me nor order the cake until the kit was in. I called today, 2 weeks later to order the cake for real, and guess what... it's gone. Obviously I knew this could happen, but now I'm less than a week away and am still without a cake.

I was outsourcing this task for a reason. I'm annoyed, and still have no idea what to do.
That was piss me off too. WTH about not holding it...makes NO sense esp if you ordering a cake and obv. thats a popular design. We usually order cakes from Safeway and they always pre-order and hold if its not instock. Maybe you can buy some small Tangled toys from Walmart/Toyrus/etc. and make your own kit? Maybe a white frosted cake with yellow long "hair" frosting? I'm so not crafty when it comes to cake deco so take my suggestions with a grain of salt.

Cassie- thanks for the update. Hope Fi gets a good nap in. She couldn't sleep last night and was texting me...and I was up at 1AM sewing, so she was up at 3AM. Yay for getting discharged!!

Shannon I'd be ticked off What about making cupcakes (or even getting some) and getting some yellow frosting and pipe yellow hair all over them

play park was fine. Only 5 kids there We only have 10 families signed up and really need 20 to keep it going very sad.

didn't knit at all, tho I did in the car while we waited for Steven (5 minutes of knitting).

Very nice, did you get lacquered or unfinished? Those work very similar to my old Traveller

I went to bed at 7:30 last night after Benadryl, I've been continuously getting sicker. I woke up at 3 and went in my own bed (I'd been sleeping in the guest room) and got up at 9. Still feel like poo. I had almost 150 emails today I'm still trying to sort through them. I'm really tired of political emails. And pharmacy tech stuff too. Bleh.
I have it unfinished and may just leave it that way but I'm not sure - I'd love a purple wheel' but would hate to screw it up, kwim?

Oh yeah 1 more post- went to Joanns fabric and got best fabric for the car roll up track in the Christmas homemade gifts thread! Yay for me - the only thing that worries me is that this pattern is for a small track and I have decided to try and double it without much sewing experience so will see how that goes...

Oh wow, yeah she needs some rest.

I got out of class early yesterday and had a chance to knit. Still working on the Molly hat, but I also have a tester to cast on.

Re: KAL ~ Knit for the love of it! Sept 30 - Oct 6

Bummer about playpark Erica... I'd go if it weren't on the other side of the country!

Good news. One of my new Charlotte friends (probably the closest I have so far) has decorated cakes as a hobby and is going to do one for me completely free. I'm going to pay her anyway... but it's going to look at least reasonably good. Plus I'm not driving around to get everything (I have 0 time to be doing this).

So I can't wait to post pics!

My birthday playdate has become 7 kids and 11 adults!!!!! Wow. I'm going to need to take a hard look at my menu. I'm going Tangled - theme sort of. I'm not going all Martha Stewart, just gotta feed the peeps.

So Far:
8x12 pan of Bs favorite homemade mac and cheese with peas. Not theme, but her favorite.
Grapes
French bread (my own )

Thats all I was going to do, but I need more especially for the adults.
cheese
