That's an awesome idea. I worry about keeping that type of thing warm for long? In any case I can utilize dh on the grill, AND make my own rolls for buns.

Now I want meatballs.

You could do meatballs and then have your rolls with cheese and sauce so they can make mini sandwiches or just have the balls.

Did you have a pattern or tutorial? My boys would love that!

Good news. One of my new Charlotte friends (probably the closest I have so far) has decorated cakes as a hobby and is going to do one for me completely free. I'm going to pay her anyway... but it's going to look at least reasonably good. Plus I'm not driving around to get everything (I have 0 time to be doing this).

So I can't wait to post pics!

My birthday playdate has become 7 kids and 11 adults!!!!! Wow. I'm going to need to take a hard look at my menu. I'm going Tangled - theme sort of. I'm not going all Martha Stewart, just gotta feed the peeps.

So Far:
8x12 pan of Bs favorite homemade mac and cheese with peas. Not theme, but her favorite.
Grapes
French bread (my own )

Thats all I was going to do, but I need more especially for the adults.
cheese
For a "tangled" theme..you could do a spaghetti bar (Hair). Maybe have marinata with meatballs, alfredo, and a veggie option like sundried tomatoes/spinach/mushrooms/garlic/olive oil?
