Nursing with a recessed chin
Hey all. Our newest little one has a very severely recessed chin. She is growing fine, transferring milk, etc. So no worries there! She's been gaining 10 oz a week since birth.
But due to her chin, it seems like she falls/slides off the nipple a lot. I have been stuck using both hands to nurse/support my breast and unable to do anything else with my other 2 LO's while nursing. I imagine she will eventually grow large enough where she won't be so affected but are there any tricks that might help it along? I am currently tandem nursing and have assigned her my left side. It seems she nursed better on that side from the start and its my lower producing side, so seemed like the best choice. I tend towards oversupply, so better to have the lower/slower side.

Re: Nursing with a recessed chin
DS3 was like that and I had to hold my breast for a while to get him to nurse. That was the only way with me. He did grow into it I think by 3 months, may have been sooner.
