opinions of a great cover over newborn fitteds

I have just a few newborn mutts coming my way. I love the way they feel. What is a good cover to use with them? I'd like something gentle on the cord stump. I'm thinking either something fleece or something that fit below the cord. What have you use in combination with a newborn mutt and loved?

I've never used newborn mutts, but I've used newborn proraps covers over a variety of fitteds and they fit under the cord very well. They're also fairly inexpensive so that's a plus too.

Thirsties XS and Prorap NB or Green Earth NB (the last two are really identical covers, but the Green Earth are very silky and pliable, while Proraps are more thick). Both fit awesome on NB though!

My favorite cover over nb fitteds was a knitted wool wrap that closed with aplix. It was so nice-- soft, no stiff pul edging to push against the cord when she curled up her little legs, and i could adjust it alot due to the closure not being pull-on. Mine was WAHM-made, unmarked, but I'm sure you can find something like it. Wool is awesome, and the type of closure made it easy to avoid the cord. Best wishes!

Re: opinions of a great cover over newborn fitteds

I'd also love to know more covers to use over fitteds for newborns. We did prefolds/covers last time, but my DD needed stay-dry, so I hope to do stay-dry fitteds and AIOs this time around.

I offer a fleece snapping cover with a fold down rise; fleece is pretty gentle on the cord

Re: opinions of a great cover over newborn fitteds

I like having wool and fleece in the house, but I'd love some TPU or PUL options for when we go out... Anyone else have any suggestions?

I likes my thirsties duos but they didn't snap down for the cord.
