Well, I'm out if my Arm & Hammer so I decided to make my own detergent. I received 10 bars of free Ivory soap from Influenster, and have washing soda and Borax in the house. I won't use it on dipes, but it will be just fine for regular laundry. Going to attempt to meal plan and grocery shop today.

Any of the above, but most often fels. My recipe is 1 bar grated and then chopped soap (i use my food processor, grate with the attachment then throw the shavings into the chop option), 1 cup borax, 1 cup washing soda, and then 10-15 drops of any essential oil. I like lavender, tea tree, sweet Orange... You can use any. I don't think the oil is really important, I just like the earthy smell I have been doing this for about 3 years, and none of my 3 kids had a problem. As I said, I also do a splash of biokleen bac out to kill the bacteria in the cold prewash. If I don't do that they do eventually stink. But the bacout is $30 per gallon, it lasts me 4-6 months. And I can also use it on any other stains anywhere in the house...
