Cloth Revolution Diaper pattern. I don't know if that's the *official* abbreviation for it, but that's what I've been calling it.

Re: Fitted Sew-A-Long
That's what i thought you meant at first..and then I couldn't remember the name of the pattern off the top of my head. I was thinking it was more like CRP, but CRD makes more sense.
I think snaps are really easy..but velcro can be nice because it is really adjustable. I hate to admit it but I haven't made a diaper with velcro yet...lol it sounds really fidely.

I have Velcro on hand for diaper making but it seems so .... Rough. But snaps are time consuming. So I may play with some Velcro. I'm hoping to finish up the rest of the diapers I have cut out today so that I can work on he changes I wanted to make.
Another OS diaper pattern is from pampered cheeks. I just bought the sized pattern and want to give it a try soon. Anyone know where I can get my hands on some decently priced bamboo fleece (mid to heavy weight?) ready to ship? Any yahoo groups or co-ops even? Sent from my iPhone using DS Forum |

I don't like velcro dipes period. I don't like the fact that they look worn sooner, especially if you are making a size they will wear a long time. I also don't like laundry snakes. It takes some getting used to snaps when putting them on the baby if you are used to sposies/ velcro but once you train your hands its not a problem, also if you are diapering a toddler they have a harder time taking off their dipe if it's snaps.I guess what I'm saying is.....do some snaps and see if you like them, everything I've made so far has snaps, except for some newborn PUL covers (in case I need a tighter fit in the beginning, but they don't wear that size very long).

Re: Fitted Sew-A-Long
I love that rainbow diaper! So cute!
I wouldn't use velcro, velcro. I would think it would be WAY too rough on a baby. I would look into buying touch tape or aplix. NaturesFabric.com is always a good option for bamboo fleece. Co op wise, WAHM Fabric Co-op on facebook has it as a weekly buy, it's like $8.70 a yard I think plus paypal fees and shipping. If you are looking for one yard Nature's Fabric might be cheaper. http://www.facebook.com/groups/258056330913814/

Okay, tonight when Austen sleeps I'm going to cut diapers. The following night I'll put on snaps, the next night sew and do elastic and topstitched, then the next work on soakers.
This is my plan of action since baby is still nursing pretty frequently and clingy during the day. During the day while she's on the boob I'll be knitting away! I plan to make about 15 fitteds in size small. Yay! Let the cutting begin.
