Best BBT thermometer?

I'm wanting to start charting so that if and when dh decides he's ready for another I will be prepared. With dd we just bd'ed until it happened. What thermometer would you suggest? Any advice?

Re: Best BBT thermometer?

I just bought what was there at Walmart. It was inexpensive and there....it's a digital one. It seems to work just fine, but I've been temping for less than a week thus far.

Sweet, I wasn't sure if there was a certain one that was better or not. Thanks ladies.

Just make sure it's a BBT thermometer.

Right, I knew to not get a regular thermometer. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some vital information. Thanks! I appreciate the input.

Re: Best BBT thermometer?

I just stumbled across this thread because I was interested to see what others were using to take their bbt. I don't know much about temping, and this month is the first time I've ever done it. Why do you need a specific bbt thermometer? I've been using just a normal digital thermometer. Now I'm thinking my chart is totally inaccurate.

I used a normal thermometer for a while until i lost it. It worked OK but BBTs are more precise (2 numbers after the decimal). My BFF has been using a normal thermometer for years both TTC and TTA with no problems.
