3 across in a town and country

We have a 2008 town and country touring edition. I am trying to get 3 across in the 3rd row. Right now we have two saftey 1st alpha omega elites. I will need to buy DS a new convertible car seat in the very near future, but he will need to be rear facing.

So what combinations are there for 3 across in my car? Would any of them work with the safety 1st's? Or at least one of them? Or does it look like I need to buy 3 new seats?

Thanks!

Where are your top tether points? We only have one in our 2008 t&c in the back row.

Very good point. Our new van only has one tether anchor in the rear row, middle seat, so only one FF seat can be back there.
What about the middle row? We have a tether anchor on each seat there.

For the rear row, I would try putting a Radian FF in the middle, then the 2 seats you have RF on either side.
If you have to have more than one FF seat, it's really recommended to use the top tether, which would put one in the middle row.

Is the van stow and go? That makes a big difference on what will fit.

Why does the stow-n-go vs. not make a difference? (not snarky, actually wondering! we have an 06 grand caravan with stow-n-go)

Good luck-- we have a 2010 and they would need to be very narrow seats to get three across in the back. I have done 2 GN with the seat belt install in the back and there isn't much room between them for another seat.

I would love to hear what you come up with that works.

stow and go have a lot narrower back bench to be able to fold down in the back. We can barely fit 3 people in the back bench with ds's Monterey in there

Who do you need to get back there? Or did I miss that. I have gotten three across in mine. With a marathon 70, graco snugride, and ff radian.

We have 2 graco boosters in the back row right now, and there's still room for an adult to sit in the middle seat. Not squished or squeezing in, just sitting normally.
I hope we'll be able to fit the seats in there that we'll need to in the spring!
