Sounds like Beef on Weck, without the Weck.

Eta It makes me want a steak sandwich with sauteed onions, peppers and cheese on it. Oh yum.

You must be a local. I thought I recognized your name as being local to me.

Yeah, it's like Beef on Weck on a different type of bread (not Kimmelweck) and dipped in Au Jus. I make mine with sub rolls spread with butter and baked, then add hot roast beef. Today's sandwiches had provolone as well. They were awesome!

Sounds like heaven. Tuna casserole was a waste of time!

Honestly drooling here. I love a good French Dip and it is impossible to get good hoagie rolls up here. Steak sandwiches... French Dip... Just. Not. The. Same.

We had beef stroganoff on noodles with steamed broccoli.

We made French Dips for the first time in forever last week and they were ahhh-mazing.

Chicken and dumplings tonight. The wee people ate a late lunch and DH is working late so we haven't had dinner yet.

We had tacos. I was so exhausted and I had two pounds of beef I needed to use up.

Roasted Leg of Lamb with Coconut Curry Rice
(and my Auntie Jan's yummy-licious mango chutney!)

I also made cheesy rice for DD with just butter, salt, and cheddar over leftover rice in the microwave and it was super tasty.
