Re: Best diaper for NB blowouts

we used the fuzzi bunz size small for newborn - if you have a 10 lb baby you should be fine with those and we have had few blowouts. Our infant, now 12 weeks, still fits in the smalls but we got a lot of the OS and use them also now.

Re: Best diaper for NB blowouts

We used SoftBums Echos and Kissaluvs NB AIOs. Never had a single blow-out, despite my son "saving up" his poop for days at a time and then treating me to particularly spectacular diapers.

I like to just add some workhorse fitteds to our regular newborn stash. that is the cheapest way to dd fitteds, and they have great resale value.

I second the Thirsties covers. My newborn uses the size 1 and my 30 lb 2 yr old uses the size 2. No blowouts! (knock on wood) I love that they have the adjustable sizing so I can use only two sizes to get me through newborn to potty training. I have 3 covers in both the sizes and it works out great. I only throw them in the wash if they have been soiled or if it's been 24 hrs (or if I feel like it needs it!)

I would do XS sandies- or if you don't mind a little bulkiness right at first I would do small sandies...those are so stretchy they fit a lot of kids till potty training! :-)
