Did I really get a medium? it's teeny tiny :(

Purchased a medium and it is waaaay smaller than any of my other diapers. It looks newborn sized! My baby is scrawny and I honestly can't see how this will fit him. Is it just excellent elastic??? They are mutts baby shapes, and unfortunately I don't have any other exactly the same to compare, so I don't want to contact the seller if this is how the diaper should really be. It says M on the tag, but, well, here is what I'm looking at:

Left: Diaper in question
Middle: A side-snapping medium short round (my other medium fitteds are in the dirty so I didn't take a photo, but they are also way bigger than the diaper in question)
Right: A large front snapping mutt (not baby shapes)

I checked the measurements on here:

http://www.muttaqinbaby.com/diapers.html

When I measure the rise it is 9" unstretched and if I pull with all my might I can just stretch it to 15", so I guess it's right? Why does it look so much smaller than my other mediums!?

Also I was guessing the weight range from the link above to be up to about 20-25 pounds based on the other "Mediums" because there is no weight range for the baby shaped diapers, but again, this hardly looks like it will fit my 14 pounder.

My mutts are large but look like smalls. They do however fit like larges. I love them. They are my fAvorite fitteds.

Yea I have a couple baby shapes and they are much smaller. I love the mutts I have, but know they won't fit her as long as other mediums.

Booooooooooooooooo.

I guess I should have done more research on the baby shapes to make sure they are equivalent to other mediums. This is probably the 6th type/brand of medium fitted diaper I've purchased on here, and all the others are basically the same size. These are at least 2" smaller top-to-bottom and side-to-side. I'm especially bummed because I bought 3 of them! What a frackin waste of money.

Mutts run really small. Especially the older ones.

This.

I did find that some looked teeny tiny but they actually fit really well!

How do these look on your child?

If you didn't use/wash them yet can you exchange/return them? I'm not familiar with mutts so I don't know but hoping you can! If not I would say FSOT might be a good idea or maybe if they are hard to fund/get try spots or if there is a mutts B/S/T Facebook page? Sorry mama

The baby shapes are like a low rise bikini of the diaper world. They are a great diaper, but definitely a small footprint.

Depending on prints I may buy them from you mama. PM me! I love my mutts. Babyshape are smaller than their regular front snaps but trimmer.

Just like everyone said, babyshapes are smaller, but have a ton of stretch and fit a surprisingly larger baby than you'd think. I loved mine when DD was little. They were also a little harder to find on FSOT so if you don't like them I'm sure it wouldn't take long to sell them off.
