Re: Tossed 2 FB today...

A size large Blueberry Basix should fit and have room for growth!
here's my 30lb long a go potty trained nearly 4 year old, who is not even on the growth charts, but was bribed with a special treat trying on the large Basix for me. I wanted to know how much room there is for her much bigger brother!

If you're looking for large diapers sized Simplex and Basix are the way to go. They still fit my 36 lbs 37.5 inch DD.

Re: Tossed 2 FB today...

I hear you on the quaility of the laminate in FB. Some have great PUL that holds up for literally years, then others, barely months I too won't buy anymore because of this and it's sad too because I do really like the ones that hold up well.

Kawaii heavy duty velcro closure (the velcro like BG has, not the other ones with it sewn in a square on the tabs fit bigger than the other kawaii styles and I've been very surprised with how well they hold up. You might want to try a few of those.

eta- they'd definately fit to 40lbs imo, and fit bigger than BG for sure.

Re: Tossed 2 FB today...

just thought of another one...thirsties duo pockets fit a little bigger as well, are fairly durable, and the inserts agitate out on their own in the wash

The knickernappies look great! I'm gonna have to try a smplex and a knicker and see how they fit Nd how durable they are.

I have a thirsties and that is also out. It leaks. And is almost too short in rise. Ds has really bad bms. Making diaper buying for him hard. It really has to hold a ton and be roomy enough.. I do love the thirsties. And my OS have fit him from birth to 2.. not bad IMHO.. and we are still using them on the baby! Gotta love BG.

No he's very far from being ready. I'm hoping a side snap will carry us through PTing though. Trainers tend to be too poofy or too thin in the crotch to hold his messes. Or they aren't absorbent enough. I'm thinking it will be another year before he pts anyway.

Re: Tossed 2 FB today...

My routine involves turning OFF the cold water valve altogether and using 140 degree hot water, a long soak, the heaviest "work wear" heavy-duty, long agitation cycle--and I've not had problems with any FuzziBunz since using this routine. I have had FuzziBunz delaminate in the past, and they replaced them--but that was before this on-the-harsh-side wash routine became necessary, and it was a manufacturing flaw. Are you *sure* your routine caused the delaminating?

Re: Tossed 2 FB today...

drybees run big and the one size Happy Hiney pockets are on the larger side (the older one size not the new size for all or something)
I wash on hot (i temped it at 120 degrees before i turned it down, was using it this hot for a year) and dry on normal and have had no problems with them.
