Lightbulb Anyone straw-bale garden?

here's a good link. I'm wondering about how it may work for something like herbs next year.

Interesting... I don't know if it would work here for our summer gardens because of how hot is gets I would be using too much water. May be worth a try for an early crop or maybe even fall next year. I'm wondering for something that over winters if it would be good frost protection and good drainage like not getting soggy in the ground since it drains so well....I will have to look into this...

Re: Anyone straw-bale garden?

That's what brought this idea to me. I just read an old coop monthly news article on it. This man lays the bale the reg way, so barely any watering! I loved that part! Not on it's side so it won't all drain out. He is called the barefoot servant. Donates his crop! Love it.
