Dr Seuss nursery ideas

DH and I have decided to do our nursery in a Dr Seuss theme. I have already made a super cute Cat in the Hat quilt and bought awesome Dr Seuss fabric with all his characters on it. I want to make a duvet out of that. I'm thinking red and white candy stripe cot bumpers.

Any other crafty ideas for "Seussing" up a room?

Find some thrift store books and frame your favorite pages for wall art!

Scrapbook paper is another nice framing item and could add some great pops of color/dimension to your wall art. Stick with non suess scrapbook paper (just coordinating /contrasting colors to be more unique.

Re: Dr Seuss nursery ideas

I've been wanting to make this for a friend of mine but she hasn't been able to pregnant so far But buy the Dr.Seuss memory game our walmart carries it but here a link to amazon http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re.../dp/B003E296RO and frame 4 rows across and 4 rows down of the game peices on a solid color sheet of cardstock. If you bought a shadow box you could even use pop dots behind some to add dimension.

You could also paint some quotes on canvas here are a few of my favs
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive, who is youer than you."
A person's a person, no matter how small.
"Why fit in when you were born to stand out"

I'm thinking some bunting will be nice. Like candy stripe and gingham in primary colours.

Kohls sold some Dr. Suess stuffed animals a year or two ago. They had Fox in Socks, Foot Book, Lorax, etc. I see them at the thrift stores all the time. Also you could check out Ebay.
