Do swaddlebees sized diapers run big?

My son is 26-27 pounds and I wanted to get him a swaddlebees so I bought him a large since they go from 22-35 pounds but they are still loose on his legs even at the tightest setting :[ Do they run large? Will they get a little smaller after washing a few more times? I'd buy him a medium but I want them to last until PT. He's almost 2 (20 months old).

I think they do. My son is about the same size and the Large's are too big for him too.

Do you have any size mediums for your son?

No, but I really should. I'm sure they would fit. The rise might be sort of low, but I like a really low rise on my son. I just prefer the OS so that's why I haven't tried one.

I think they're generously sized - my 40 lb 2.5 year old fits in mediums.

If you mean the simplex, my son needed a large at ~20 months. He only weighed 23 or 24 lbs. at his 2 year check-up, but he outgrew the rise on the medium earlier (as in serious plumber's crack).
He can still wear med. bottombumpers and size 1 BSB though, but those have a higher rise than the med. simplex.

Hmm. I may try a medium then if I can find a used one in good condition. Not sure if the rise will work or not, but if not I guess we can just resell it on here or fb. Thanks for the replies!

This. We had plumbers crack at 18 months and 22ish pounds. I don't mind the fit of the larges, but they are roomier. We are not in larges or the top rise snaps on any other diaper.
