He was driving this evening, and crashed his car.

He was the only car involved in the accident. They suspect heart attack. He died on the scene, they revived him.

He's currently in ICU on a ventilator. PLEASE pray for him. His wife is about 250 miles away and no one can reach her, so she doesn't even know what is going on yet.

Please pray.

They did a cath lab on him, and said that there are no blockages, but no other news as of yet. Waiting on an update from my mom.

They did an EEG tonight and determined that he is having seizure activity. They have decided to add another (that'll make 3) seizure medications to the list of everything else he's on, and then see if that works. They are going to try to take him out of his medical coma in the next couple of days. Not sure if things are going good or bad at this point, it's just kind of a waiting game.

We found out lastnight that my uncle has no brain function. They took him off of life support at midnight, and as of right now, he's still alive. He is struggling to breathe, but his heart and everything is still functioning normally, apparently.

Does anyone know what they do for someone that just won't pass, even after they've been taken off of life support? He's basically a vegetable, and this just seems like ridiculous torture. :/

Oh wow, that's devastating. How confusing. I dot have any advice but I hope he is able to be at peace soon.

My uncle passed away Monday, October 8th, at 12:30pm. He is at peace now.

Yeah. As much as we didn't want this at all, it's better. He's in a better place than we are, that's for sure.

that's exactly how I felt when we had to take my uncle off life support 2.5 years ago
