What car seats have a long lifespan?
I'm looking into the Britax Frontier and I'm looking into the Radian. Both have long lifespans and I think that's awesome. We currently have a Britax Roundabout and needs to be replaced in the next couple of months as it expires in January. I don't want to jump the gun and buy one of these if there are others that have a long lifespan. I really love the ease of use of the Britax, it is my favorite seat by far! Eventually we're going to replace our vehicle and need slimmer seats (my son has a Nautilus and I HATE how large it is). I'm looking into the Radian for that reason, because it saves on space...

Re: What car seats have a long lifespan?
I got a Radian for L last year when we were pregnant with Elli. I know some don't like it, but we really do! Tons of growing room for ERF, and I didn't realize the lolnger life span until I got it, but
The only problem I had was with the recline - with L (at about 25lbs) in it, it was reclining further than 45*. We got the angle adjuster, though, and that solved the problem. I think with a smaller/light baby (definitely a nb) it would have been perfect without the adjuster, but with L being bigger/heavier, his added weight was pushing the whole thing down into the van's seat, kwim?

If you hate how big the Nautilus, you're not going to like the Frontier. It's beastly.

Re: What car seats have a long lifespan?
Frontier is bigger than Nauti, but also makes the tallest booster on the market.
Frontier is going to last you longer than Radian though.

Re: What car seats have a long lifespan?
Some of the Safety 1st brand seats such as the Complete Air have 8-9 year lifespans (they expire in December of the 8th year after manufacture year... so a seat made in December will last 8 years, and a seat made in January will last 8 years and 11 months).
