Re: Are you winging it?

Wow! So glad I am not alone! We do reading and math consistently and some science. Once a week she has music class with some home school peers. I do art on Fridays but she has done other crafts during the week a few times.
We have a math curriculum because I would be lost without it. With reading, I try to incorporate phonics, but this has been a stumbling block because she learned a bunch of sight words at ps last year. So, she's reading some already. I'm not sure how to go about teaching phonics.
Anyway, I guess winging it makes me feel like I'm not doing enough. But I never wanted home schooling to be super structured like regular school. And Erinn is awesome at going with the flow. I just don't want to get stuck in the trap of procrastination and really do my daughter a disservice.
Thanks for the input. I feel better about it now. She's happy to be home with me and she's learning. I guess that's where I should find my reassurance.
