Christmas presents- limit number per child...question

We do one bigger gift from mom and dad, then each kid gets a book, an ornament and Christmas pajamas. We also get them a game or DVD for all of the kids to share

This may sound like a whine but I wanted to do the cake thing. Then DD was born the day are Christmas. Two days of cakes are no good. I had this planned long before she was born.

I don't limit the number of gifts. We budget x amount of dollars & divide that by the number of kids. When I spend it all I'm done. That could be 10 gifts for a kid, it could be 50 depending on their interests & each items cost.

This is what we do. Just a set amount on each little monster. Usually it's around $200-400 each. Although I think I need about $2,000 each this year with their lists! Hahahaha don't think that will be happening!

Ooo I like this idea, UI was going to make him PJ's anyway so it didn't seem fair to count it as one of his main gifts. He's just getting to the stage where he likes to play simple games, like memory or match up. Thanks for the idea!

stocking
play
wear (clothes are needed at this point anyway!)
read
need (not sure what I am going to do for need yet tbh. maybe new pillows or maybe I'll change it to share)

We do this list as well as small stuff for stockings.

Something you need
Something to wear
Something to read
Something to watch
Something to play
Something to do on a wintery day

It works out great for us and so much easier to do that way.

Yep we do a Happy Birthday Jesus cake. I love the gift idea though.
