Exactly. I probably would be the type to skip well visits since we don't vax but my cousins daughter had a brain tumor discovered by well visits because her head size grew greatly between visits.

I don't generally ask my friends about whether or not they take their kids to well visits, so yeah...

But if it came up, I wouldn't think anything. Actually, I guess I would... I would think they did some research, and decided this was the best plan for their family. No big deal to me. But all of my friends are pretty cautious if/when their kids get sick, so I wouldn't freak out, thinking their kid might contaminate mine or something.

i think we are awesome but honestly as long as your kids are healthy i dont see the problem. i would rather my well kid not be around a bunch of germs at the drs office. plus drs are for sick people and my kid isnt sick so no reason to go.

A PERFECT example of why well checks are needed. There are so MANY things that the doctor is looking for at each visit that could signal something is wrong. The vast majority are not things that average parent would have any clue about.

We don't do well visits past 4 mo or so. My dr is wonderful and is comfortable with only seeing us at 1 yr and 1x/yr after that. I feel like I am pretty in tune with my kids and their bodies and hope I would catch something if there was an issue. I still call him all the time and ask him random poop/pee/growth etc questions though

We don't vax but we still do the well visits. Mostly we do them because he was in the NICU after he was born for a lung issue and I just want to make sure his heart and lungs sound good. But I wouldn't think less of anyone for not doing them.

I don't do all well baby visits and rarely do a well visit after age 2. MY youngest went for 2,4,6, 9 months and has not been r a well visit since. I typically don't do them after 12 months. I MAY do one around 5 but then again that is not a sure thing. If my baby is sick and not with just a virus intake them in but we rarely go. Nothing wrong with it IMO.
