santa or not to santa?

Do your kids believe in santa? I never did, but mostly just bc my mom always let us help wrap each other's presents. I don't know if it is something that I agree with and I don't want to lie to my child, but at the same. Time I don't want him to miss out on childhood. Help? Btw he is only 6mo right now, this is for future reference.

We do Santa.

At some point we all lie to our children. I highly doubt any kid is going to never take you seriously again over Santa. It'll be okay should you decide to go along with the fun.

I vote Santa. It's not about lying, it's about magic. Getting old sucks sometimes and every childhood needs magic!!

We do Santa here. We find it part of the magic of the holiday.

We don't do Santa here. When people find out, they are like "your child will be the one to ruin it for our kids." She hasn't yet because I have taught her about the real Santa and what he did.

We do Santa. I have to say, though, DS1 came home from school last year, asking me if Santa was real... apparently another kid (whose family doesn't do Santa) told him that Santa wasn't real and blah blah blah. I just told DS1 that he believes in Santa, that makes him real. He hasn't asked about it since.

We do Santa. My only thing is that Santa brings a couple of small gifts, not the bigger stuff. My reasoning is that I want to teach my kids gratefulness. I want them to understand that gifts come from people and they need to be grateful for the gifts they get. They need to thank the giver personally. KWIM?
