Re: Ear Piercing
I think the general consensus was "no" right ladies?

Re: Ear Piercing
Sorry to bring it back. My DH and I are "talking" about it. I wouldn't even know where to get them done. I think it would be cute, but I know I had to wait until I was 9 and make my own decision (if 9 is old enough I don't know). I can see both sides. Just wanted to know what others did.

Re: Ear Piercing
I think it was mostly no, wait until he/she is old enough to choose for him/herself
With a lot of "yes you should do it as an infant because they won't remember it" along with a "still we shouldn't make rude comments on facebook about moms who choose to get their infant's ears pierced" and some "piercing guns are nasty and disgusting and you should only get piercings done by someone who knows what they're doing, not by some teenager at the mall!" My personal opinion- really no reason to do it as an infant. I was SOOOO excited to get mine done when I was 11, I will let my DD get hers done when she asks for them.

Re: Ear Piercing
oh good gravy. here we go again.for the record, my girls all have theirs done. They were 6, 3, and 2 respectively. They all asked for it for an extended period of time and climbed into the chair and sat still of their own accord to demonstrate their desire for the body mod and were not coerced in any way, shape, or form. Were they to waver in their decision or want to back out, that would have been okay. It was their decision entirely to modify their own bodies.

Re: Ear Piercing
yeah this has been discussed ad nauseam. Just go with what you think is right for your family. Great recap BTW!
