Need help with fleece inserts
We've been using BumGenius Elementals (AIOs) since my son was a newborn. He's now 14 months, and we started having some rash issues around the 1 year mark. It's not typical diaper rash, just irritation/redness from being wet...even though we change him frequently.
I had some good luck with fleece inserts, but right now he is still staying very red on his legs, where the edge of the diaper is. I made my own fleece inserts by just cutting strips of fleece (obviously!), but I'm curious if I'm missing something. Maybe I need to try making them wider? It seems like they almost need to hang out the sides of the diaper so none of the cotton touches his skin. But I wonder if this would lead to leaking...I know fleece isn't absorbant, but it still seems like it may be an issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: Need help with fleece inserts
You definitely don't want anything hanging out of the elastic on the legs. Your gut is correct, it will leak out the legs.
