Re: If you were going to buy a small stash...

I would do 3 flips and a dozen flats. Or maybe something like this? http://http://www.cottonbabies.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=148

If she has nothing at all to start with, that probably won't really be enough. If you're wanting to get her a full time stash, maybe she could get by with 4 or 5 covers and 18-24 prefolds/flats.

Re: If you were going to buy a small stash...

I have a little who's turning 2 in late November, and I use Flips and flats with no problems. I would get her 2 dozen flats and 4 covers if you can.

I think 18 prefolds is ok, but would definitely go bigger. I have a couple blue edge Chinese prefolds from cotton babies and they fit perfectly in our flips! I would recommend at least 4 covers though, I started with 3 and often didn't have enough! Just that one more helped so much!

I'd get a couple Econobum trial packs, a few Flips, and a dozen flats.

If either do the econobum packs (3 of the trials maybe) or 6 flips and 18 GMD red edge (or the equivalent in Imagines)

Re: If you were going to buy a small stash...

I would check out the seconds page at cottonbabies...there were some econobum covers for $4.95 each up there, so you could get 5 or 6 of those and 18 prefolds.
