wool seconds?

I need some advice...I have a walmart bag overflowing with merino wool yarn scraps. Does anyone know what I can do with this... I cannot throw it away, the yarn is absolutely gorgeous and the colors are beautiful. I started tying them together but it's taking me forever : / Is there maybe somewhere I can send it and have someone else put it together? The yarn is about a foot long each strand. All together it would make a gorgeous knit blanket : D

You can offer it up in the FFS section.

FFS - Free for shipping. It means if someone can pay the shipping cost, they can have the item itself for free.

Re: wool seconds?

Why are you tying it? If it's wool, you can do a felted join. Just dampen the ends, then lay them together in your hand, and rub your hands together with the yarn inside (like you would if you were cold and trying to make some heat). It ends up really sturdy and would be prettier and easier to work with than all those knots.

Re: wool seconds?

I will try this. Thanks a lot : ) the wool is much to nice and pretty to give away. It was given to me by grandma who knows a friend who has a wool company far away and they are all the left over pieces. Grandma knew I would love to have it : )
