Bamboo inserts vs microfiber

My SIL is new to CD, and is looking for opinions about these two options. I hate microfiber (haha) and haven't ever used bamboo so my input is useless. But I promised I'd ask the diaper ladies what the benefits are of either one.

Tell me what you think?

Re: Bamboo inserts vs microfiber

We use both, and I prefer bamboo by far. My daughter is a very heavy wetter and bamboo always holds up, where mf sometimes does and sometimes does not.

Re: Bamboo inserts vs microfiber

I find natural fibers (bamboo, hemp) to hold more. They definitely soak in faster and I think "lock it in". Microfiber and zorb often get complaints of compression leaks.
But I do like zorb paired with OBF.

There is a great youtube video I saw recently that was comparing soak-in rates between a lot of different inserts.
