For a gift, would you rather....?
My SIL has 3 in cloth. 2.5 YO, 1.5 YO and a newbie. She doesn't really have enough dipes. We draw names for Christmas, and we've got the newbie's name. I was going to make him 2 or 3 really awesome PJ sets--Fitted diaper with doubler, matching cover, coordinating PJ pants and shirt with matching applique. I've already made most of 1 set. Then I got to thinking it might be better to make her one more cover and buy a dozen flats to go with it. She could use them for any of the kids and there would be more diapers, but of course it doesn't seem as personal and nice. What would you rather get?

Can you do both? Two covers a dozen flats, and maybe one or two pj sets?

Re: For a gift, would you rather....?
That's tough! Probably the one set and dipes....that way she has something cute/special for baby and also the extra dipes needed.
I would love to get any of those for my babe!

I would definitely rather receive the dipes... Although my Christmas list is always "painfully practical" as DH says. If you could afford it, one PJ set would be nice, but I would definitely be more excited over diapers.

I think 1 set for the newbie (they grow so fast anyways) and cover/dozen flats so baby can used them longer and she can use them on the older babies too.

i think the combo is a great idea! part fun (cute set) and part practical (flats & cover)

Re: For a gift, would you rather....?
Thanks ladies! I was leaning towards one set and then the flats because like Kara said it is part fun, part practical. Although now I've found a prefold pattern and I have some old towels...so I may see about doing that too. It's so hard to pick!

Re: For a gift, would you rather....?
1 set and the flats assuming she is a flat loving person, otherwise I would do one set and 1 or 2 small OS/or Size 1 diaper of what she perfers.
